William Boothby, of San Francisco, California, was a significant figure in the growth of cocktail.
The Boothby was developed by the 19th century San Franscico bartender, William Thomas Boothby, and all these years later, it's still an amazing cocktail!
1 1/2 oz bourbon
1 1/2 oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes angostura bitters
1-2 oz champagne or sparkling wine
orange peel and cranberry for garnish
In an ice-filled shaker, add bourbon, sweet vermouth, and bitters. Shake and pour into glass. Fill with champagne. Add orange peel and cranberry garnish.
